To register to vote, you need to see the Town Clerk at the Rindge Town Offices. The hours and contact information are posted on the left-hand side of the
Town Clerk's page.
Birth Certificate, Passport, Naturalization Papers, proof that you were previously or currently registered to vote in a different town or ward in NH, or any other reasonable documentation that indicates you are a US citizen.
Any reasonable documentation indicating that you will be 18 years of age or older at the next election.
- NH Drivers License or ID Card, NH Resident Vehicle Registration, a picture ID issued by the US government that contains a current address, or a government-issued check, benefit statement, or tax document.
- If you attest, under penalty of voter fraud, that you do not possess any of the qualified documents listed in the previous sentence, you may present any reasonable documentation of having established a physical presence at the place claimed as domicile, having an intent to make that place your domicile, and having taken a verifiable act to carry out that intent. The documentation must establish that it is more likely than not that you have a domicile and intend to maintain that domicile, at least until election day, in Rindge, NH. Reasonable documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of:
- Having established domicile at the location of an institution of learning you attend (See RSA 654:1, I-a for definition)
- Renting or leasing an abode in Rindge, NH, for a period of more than 30 days, to include time directly before an election day
- Purchasing an abode in Rindge, NH
- Enrolling your dependent minor child in an established public or private elementary or secondary school that serves Rindge, NH, using the address where you reside
- Listing an address in Rindge, NH, as your physical residence address on state or federal tax forms, other government identification showing the address, or other government forms showing the address
- Providing the address in Rindge, NH, to the United States Post Office as your permanent address, provided it is not a postal service or commercial post office box
- Obtaining public utility services for an indefinite period in Rindge, NH
- Arranging for a homeless shelter or similar service provider located in the town or ward to receive United States mail on behalf of the individual
- Any other reasonable documentation which establishes that it is more likely than not that you are domiciled at the address in Rindge, NH. If your domicile is at an abode of another and your name is not listed on the document offered as proof of domicile, you may provide a written statement from a person who is listed as the owner, property manager, or tenant on the document that you reside at that address, signed by that person under penalty of voting fraud if false information is provided
Any one of the following is presumptive evidence of your identity:
- Photo driver's license issued by any state or the federal government
- US passport, armed services identification, or other photo identification issued by the US government
- Photo identification issued by the local or state government
- Any other evidence that reasonably establishes that it is more likely than not that you are who you claim to be, including verification of your identity by the moderator or another election official.
- If you are a resident of a nursing home or similar facility you may prove your identity through verification of identity by the administrator of the facility or by their designee.
